We modernize high-voltage lines and power stations in the Pomeranian Voivodeship
We modernize high voltage lines and power stations in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. For one of our key customers, Energa Operator, we carry out modernization works of high voltage lines, which supply power to four power stations (Słupsk Poznańska, Dębnica Kaszubska, Gałąznia Mała and Bytów) in Pomeranian Voivodeship. As part of the investment, from the moment of entering the site in November 2019, we have carried out:
- replacement of old, concrete structures with 164 lattice poles made of galvanized steel
- extension of new poles by 10 meters in relation to the applicable standards, so that the high voltage line runs entirely above the treetops, which significantly reduces the likelihood of damaging working cables by windbreaks or broken branches, and thus increase the safety of the power line
- the use of electric wires made in modern technology, enabling a double increase of the limit temperature of the line operation (+80 Celsius degrees); this solution allows for a significant increase in the maximum load capacity of the power network on a given line section
- equipping the line with optical fiber enabling, among others monitoring of high voltage line operating parameters and remote control from the control room
The length of the modernized section is over 45 kilometers, the total investment cost is 16.6 million PLN and the completion of the works is planned by December 2021.
