#Drone Services – inventory of forest animals in Gdańsk

We are proud of a new interesting task that is a valuable addition to our offer of services in the power industry. #EltelNetworksTeam has obtained another order regarding the inventory of wild boars using a drone (unmanned aerial vehicle) with a thermal imaging detector in selected areas within the city of Gdańsk.

The client was the Gdańsk City Hall, Department of Security and Crisis Management. Interestingly, the inventory took place in the fully urbanized environment of the city of Gdańsk. This required close coordination of activities with the various technical infrastructure in operation, such as the airport or seaport, as well as cooperation with the police and city guards.

The task was performed by our specialists as part of #DroneServices using a professional drone equipped with a thermal imaging detector and a visible light camera. Thanks to the chosen inventory method using an unmanned aircraft, counting wild animals is non-invasive and allows obtaining objective results by observing undisturbed animals in nature.

Most likely, it was the first inventory of wild animals in Poland carried out on such a scale in an urbanized city area. We are proud to have been part of this pioneering project.
