New contract – modernisation of the Joachimów substation
In March, we signed a new contract with PSE (Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne) for the modernisation of the Joachimów substation.
The scope of work for #AltergaTeam includes equipping reserve bay no. 206 at the 220 kV substation. Completion of the project will enable the connection of new energy generators to the grid, including the large-scale Turów energy storage facility.
The project involves comprehensive activities – from the preparation of construction and detailed designs, through obtaining planning permission and completing all formal and legal procedures, to the full modernisation of the substation.
The works will include, amongst other things:
- a new relay kiosk
- a telecommunications building for external entities
- foundations and support structures for the equipment
- an expanded earthing system and cable ducts
The scope of electrical works also includes the supply and commissioning of equipment and systems, including overhead circuit breakers, disconnectors, current transformers and combined transformers. New secondary circuits for bay no. 206 will be commissioned, as well as expanded technical and seurity systems.
A significant part of the project will also be a wide range of telecommunications works.
The project will take two years to be completed from the signing of the contract.
