New contract – the 400 kV Choczewo–Żarnowiec power line
In May, we signed a new contract to complete the construction of the 400 kV Choczewo–Żarnowiec overhead power line as part of the “Construction of the Choczewo–Żarnowiec power line” project.
#AltergaTeam faces an ambitious task to be completed until mid-2028.
The scope of our work includes, amongst other things:
- updating the detailed designs
- preparation of as-built documentation
- suspension of phase conductors along a 19.5 km section of the double-circuit line
- cabling of three intersections with medium-voltage lines
- protection of medium- and high-pressure gas pipelines
- retrofitting of two 400 kV bays at the Żarnowiec substation
The power line is scheduled to be ready for voltage supply by the end of November 2026. The next stages of work will involve fulfilling formal and legal obligations, including environmental procedures and obtaining a use permit.
We are delighted to be part of a project of strategic importance for the country’s energy security and the further development of the national transmission grid in Poland.
