Ostrołęka substation and CCGT Ostrołęka

The #EltelNetworksTeam is busily carrying out execution works at the Ostrołęka substation, at the junction with CCGT Ostrołęka (Combined Cycle Gas Turbine). The progress of the ongoing works is significant, as in the last few months we have taken over and started up 2 MV 15 kV switchgears after replacing current transformers (in total in 4 fields).

At present, we are focusing on parallel assembly and commissioning works on field no. 9 R110 kV (new name TPO1 – general needs transformer of power station 1) and on the ongoing shutdown in field no. 8 G4M2 R400 kV (new name LB1 – block line 1). Within the scope of our work we mainly have tasks related to assembly changes resulting from the technical documentation approved by the investor:

• installation by the connected unit, i.e. CCGT Ostrołęka, of new teleprotection devices on both switchgears and related changes in the field naming (including changes of plates on line inputs)
• changes in the configuration of the protections and adjustments to the statewide circuits to the required extent

By mid-August, we plan to have both SAT tests performed by the investor and acceptance of the work after positive tests for both fields, i.e. 110 kV and 400 kV. Our engineers and the entire #EltelNetworksTeam are working intensively to meet the project scopes and deadlines required by the investor.

Once the work for R110 kV and R400 kV is completed, we will be left waiting for CCGT Ostrołęka (where Eltel Networks is also carrying out a significant scope of work) to be ready to connect, perform bilateral checks and bring the 110 kV line and 400 kV unit online.
