Alterga builds critical infrastructure – substations, power lines of all voltages, and GCP systems for receiving energy from renewable sources. It is a world of hard data, rigorous standards and precise designs. But behind every pylon and every transformer installed stands a person – their opinions, emotions, knowledge and experience.

Recently, we at #AltergaTeam conducted an anonymous employee satisfaction survey. The results? They are a source of immense pride for us, but also a guide for how to proceed in the future.

Here is what #AltergaTeam identified as our greatest distinguishing features (original spelling from the surveys):

‘OPEN DOOR’ CULTURE AND RELATIONSHIPS
“I’ve worked in international companies and it’s very difficult to shake hands with a director. I’ve noticed that Alterga has that connection. I’d go so far as to say you can have a coffee with the CEO :)”. This is key for us – the lack of excessive formality and direct contact with management ensure that every voice is heard.

A HUMAN APPROACH TO WORK
“Treating employees as people, not slaves. Opinion based on experiences at other companies.” We support flexibility and remote working wherever possible. We respect personal time, because we know that rest fuels innovation.

“Definitely experience, high standards of quality and safety. An amazing atmosphere and the people who have been building this organisation for years.” In our industry, there is no room for shortcuts. Our employees appreciate that we provide them with the tools and procedures that allow them to feel confident and safe in the field.

A GOOD ATMOSPHERE ON THE CONSTRUCTION SITE
“A very friendly atmosphere within the teams, good management, low stress levels.” Business trips don’t have to be a burden. We take care of everything – from comfortable accommodation to meals – so that teams can focus on what they do best.
